» ASCII Painter/Picture Lab 1.0
Author • Rattrapmax6 (x.t.r.Graphics)

DEFINITELY THE SHEER ULTIMATE ASCII-BASED EDITOR and then plenty, as this takes your text artworks to a whole totally new level like you have never experienced, raising the bar to up to a phenomenal 32-bit color!!!  d=^_-=b !!  And this one excellently exports your own created designs here to a .BMP file, a FreeBASIC .BAS source-code, and many others!!!  My seriously deepest congratulations to Rattrapmax6 (x.t.r.Graphics) for this *utterly spectactular* piece of work that you ASCII purists and others are most sure to love a lot, GUARANTEED!!!  (^-^)//

» Raycasting Engine
Author • Chris Adams (aka Lithium)

ABSOLUTELY THE HANDS-DOWN BEST RAYCASTER I HAVE EVER EVEN SEEN IN FREEBASIC, period!!!  \(^-^)/  You know something, this thing from the QuickBASIC programming veteran named Lithium actually supports 3D depth shading, textured-mapped walls and floors and ceilings, jaw-droppingly excellent special effects (such as fog, water, and lighting!), and tons more already!!  And for computers that cannot handle the default 320x200x32bpp fullscreen mode, there is even a special “screen-stretching” implementation in ASM that so perfectly replicates a 320x200 resolution in either a 640x400x32bpp or 640x480x32bpp graphics mode!  Hey, if there ever was a such a grand and spectactular inspiration in your FreeBASIC programs, you have found it and then plenty!!!  And now, it has been updated from during May 2006 and includes a valuable map editor for creating your own 3D levels for your next game or whatever you want!!  TRULY PHENOMENAL WORK DEFINITELY, my man!!  (^-^)//

» Sphereoyds
Author • Deleter
(Note: This demo is packaged originally in .RAR format only!  Thus, you need to extract it using a .RAR extracting tool such as the freeware item called UnRAR, which you can download right here for MS-Windows.  Also, to experience this demo in full, please be sure to extract or place the .SCR portion of this file into your main “Windows” directory.  There, you can actually view it as a true screen saver, too!!  ;-) )

This is officially Deleter’s very first FreeBASIC demo that has ever been released as a screen saver, and you know what, it does some *pretty* amazing stuff with the balls created out of 2x2-sized pixels!  Mesmerizing, and what a fine demo it is, too, so good work from him!!  :D !

» Basic GL Text
Author • Dr_Davenstein

In all honesty, I’d very easily believe that this is a TRULY good way of displaying your text through the use of OpenGL in FreeBASIC, and Dr_Davenstein sure did a marvelous job on this gem to help get the FB programmers off into the right path in 3D game programming here!!  d=^-^=b

» Tile Creator and Loader
Author • Alexander J. Pritchard

This is in and of itself a wonderful little creator here, because, it actually takes a regular 1024x768 map and splits them up into different ordered tiles that make up the whole thing!  And the sheer magic is in first of all running the “Environment_Creator” executable program that is included in the package!!  Finally, I just love the way the tiles are so wonderfully organized, so try it on your own 1024x768 maps and see the amazing difference!  A TRULY awesome job for Alexander J. Pritchard right here on this really fine work!!!  (^_-)//

» Zero G Academy City Demo
Author • syn9

AN ABSOLUTELY JUST-PLAIN-AWESOME DEMO IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF!!!  (^-^)//  I had to say it up front, for this one lets you take control of a rather cool-looking ship as you fly around the city-scape with great graphics and all!!!  No collision detection yet, but still a phenomenal work once again from the MAGNIFICENT syn9 himself, so a definite congratulations to him!!!  (^-^)v

BASIC KEY CONTROLS FOR THIS DEMO:
    Arrow keys — control ship
    “S” key — ascend upwards
    “D” key — descend downwards
“A” key — make a sharp left turn (if your ship is *already* moving left)
“F” key — make a sharp right turn (if your ship is *already* moving right)

» Gunship
Author • syn9

The ABSOLUTELY AWESOME FreeBASIC programmer of syn9 has richly hit paydirt again with this truly amazing ship-control demo, and this time, it features a wonderfully hot futuristic gunship that you would love to climb aboard on.... and what a phenomenal job he did on this one too!!!  Two thumbs WAY up from me on this demo!!!  d=^-^=b !!

This very first officially released FreeBASIC graphics demo of 2006 truly reminds me of an old-skool classic demo from back in the day on the Commodore Amiga, and the music is very good stuff as well!!!  Wow, for their first demo together, I’d say that they are WELL on their way to making it real large and awesome where demomaking is concerned!!  Very nicely done on it, Rattrapmax6 (x.t.r.Graphics) and Xteraco (entoxicoded)!!!  ^-^=b !

» Mini Mandelbrot Explorer
Author • Antoni Gual

This is a very good piece of work here, as this program presents a pretty amazing little example of how a mandelbrot should be in true-color!  Nice stuff going on here, Antoni!!  ;-) !

This is the VERY FIRST officially released FreeBASIC-created musicdisk ever, and quite a truly SO awesome one, at that!!!  A most marvelous feat by the team of Rattrapmax6 (x.t.r.Graphics) and Xteraco (entoxicoded), so go check it out and be truly amazed at the many great tracks presented in here!!!  d=^-^=b !

(Note: This demo is packaged originally in .RAR format only!  Thus, you need to extract it using a .RAR extracting tool such as the freeware item called UnRAR, which you can download right here for MS-Windows.  And also, source-code is NOT included in this demo.  Thanks so much!!  ;-) )

This is Z!re’s very first graphics demo in FB, as this piece shows so truly many particles that make up flames and even a fire field as well!!!  Nice!  Created using marzec’s own marvelous game library in FB, C++, and others entitled YAGL - yet another game library, she is off to a really good start, I must tell you myself!!  ^_- !

» Fire/Particles/Blending/Speed example 2
Author • Z!re
(Note: Source-code is NOT included in this demo.)

This is the second of Z!re’s many graphics demos in FB.  In this creation, it shows a small flame, and telling by the way it is animated, it paves the way for her to create something even better!!  On this demo, pretty good example of what YAGL can do, you know?  ^^

» Yagl Particle Demo #3
Author • Z!re
(Note: Source-code is NOT included in this demo.)

Third time *is* the charm for Z!re, because she has just conjured up an EXCELLENT piece of work which comprises of four (4) bitmaps that are rotated, scaled, mirrored, and even blended to make a very awesome particle effect like you have never seen before!!!  I believe that this is the best original demo that has ever been created in YAGL and FreeBASIC yet!!!  Period, enough said.  (^-^)//

» Come closer
Author • Z!re
(Note: Source-code is NOT included in this demo.)

In this next demo once again by Z!re, it presents to you an amazing-looking yet *so* dizzying effect!  For those of you that can handle it, download with such careful caution now — just don’t get motion-sick!  ;)

» SSC_Weather
Author • SSC (aka Smithcosoft Creations)

Here, SSC has created something *really* interesting in FreeBASIC: a weather engine!!!  And what an excellent start it is, too, because this is a most valuable tool for FB programmers to implement it in their very own games!!!  Do not miss this promising download!!  ^-^=b !

See you on Page 7 coming up next, where even more of the BEST graphics demos in FB are available for you to experience!!!  ^-^=b
